Real freedom is freedom to fail as well.

However, I still believe that our soldiers had a profound positive impact on Iraq's youth. We may (or may not) see the fruit of this for a long time. I pray that we do.

Gosh three .. sorry if it seemed that I was 'assaulting/assailing' you, or anyone.

I was merely adding a thought .. a rememberance.

Sorry if it offended .. certainly wasn't intended to!

Hello? Is this Mr. Obama? We have an immediate opening here in Iraq that is right up your alley and you are the first person we thought of for the job!

Dear Minnesota Rush:

I was quoting the author of the article comments. (I assume it was Steve).

Never said Our Soldiers spill their blood in vain. Please calm down and direct your anger
at those who are ruining our country. I love this country and those who have fought and are
fighting to keep this country safe. I come from a long line of those who have served.

God Bless you and Our Soldiers.

And let's remember .. the blood spilled by any of our brave soldiers is NEVER in vain!!!

Our military men and women devote themselves, when called upon, to honorable and righteous pursuits.

However the politicians and media may screw things up and try to propagandize to fit their agendas ...

... our brave soldiers' blood is never spilled in vain!!!

And may God bless them, grace them, and keep them safe always!!!

A little "predictive" reporting....

Sectarian violence broke out today, cutting short Iraqi's celebrations on their sovereignty day. There were mass riots and bloodshed in the streets most of the day as various muslim sects fought for power over the now troop-free Baghdad greater area.

This is not what I want to have happen...but what I expect will happen. Many Iraqis, not accustomed to anything but a totalitarian government, will never understand how true freedom works. They assumed that with Saddam Hussein, the place was peaceful and his ethnic cleansing didn't affect them, so...so what?

As we all are----Watch this space----because I think the fecal-fan interface unit is going to go into overdrive and it won't be long. Their "police forces" are pathetic...just more thugs with guns and the outlying areas, where the bandits and robbers hang out, will now see Baghdad as fresh pickins.

It might start off slowly....or it might happen all at once....but the way middle easterners deal with political disagreement is with violence. I'm quite certain that there are groups of young men, who right now are plotting to make their move to take power, or support their choice for power in Iraq.

Status quo to them is a gangster in power doling out favors and privilege to his cronies.

Good for the Iraqis. They deserve to celebrate, after everything they've been put through. We got their freedom back for them and now its over to them; let's up they don't mess it up again. And let's hope we don't mess up again either. When I think of how close run this whole thing was, about all the mistakes we made and continued to make, about how much we suffered and how close we came to losing it all...well, we finally got smart and we finally got lucky but hear me God, I pray we learned something from all this and that it was all worth it.

Used to be US Marines would hit the beaches. Now they're forced to commute. Another blow to freedom & liberty. It's called "Obama".

I guess women weren't invited to the celebration. Our troops only have relocating to Afganistan to look forward to.
