One need only to look at its speakers - the holocaust denying Ahmadinejad, the dictator Chavez, the terrorist lover Gadhafi. Maybe I'm a fool, but I have a hard time imagining why such an organization is beneficial to our country. The utopian pretense of all countries coming together to discuss their problems and promote human rights is not working. Last year Islamic countries in the U.N. wanted to pass a binding resolution to prevent the "defamation of religion," namely Islam. So for advocating universal human rights such as freedom of speech, the UN appears barren.
