Vandals Deface SC GOP Office, Steal Signs

From the South Carolina Herald:

Vandals strike York County GOP headquarters

By Matt Garfield

Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008

Vandals spray-painted the words “Republican means slavery” on the door of the York County GOP campaign headquarters overnight Friday.

Party volunteers called police after discovering the message when they arrived at the office on Rock Hill’s Oakland Avenue. The vandals also stole about 45 candidate signs from the front yard and spray-painted over a banner that carried a picture of Republican presidential nominee John McCain. Their messages included lettering and symbols sometimes used by gangs.

The culprits could face charges on petty larceny and damage to property, said Rock Hill police Sgt. Roderick Stinson. No one appears to have entered the office.

Whether it was teenagers playing a prank or adults looking to make a political statement, the nature of the message reflected racially charged hostilities that have flared around the country in recent days. Democrat Barack Obama is the first African-American to win a major party’s presidential nomination…

In York County, Republican leader Glenn McCall is among the first African-American to chair a county party in South Carolina. He’s also one of two black representatives on the 100-member Republican National Committee.

McCall said he believes the vandals were trying to influence voters at a time when polls show a tight contest.

“It just goes to show the election is much closer than folks would have you believe,” McCall said. “We have probably the most liberal ticket on the Democratic side that we’ve ever seen. When I look at the polls, it’s within the margin of error. There are people who are just getting nervous about that. As a result, they do desperate things.”

Party officials announced the incident and distributed photos of the vandalism this morning…

The vandals did their work sometime after 2 a.m., because that’s when party volunteers left the office after putting out candidate signs, said coordinator Joe St. John.

Local Republicans use the converted two-story house on Oakland Avenue as a temporary base of operations during the fall campaign season. They oversee phone banks, store candidate yard signs and host party functions…

Here are more photographs of these miscreants’ handiwork:

Is this not “hate speech”? Will Mr. Obama speak out to calm down his supporters?

(Just kidding.)

By the way, do you ever wonder what is being taught in American History classes these days?

All of us who have been visiting “the hive” for some time now can see right through this message . . . but for those of you newBee’s here let me enlighten you on what the subliminal message is in this “news” report”.

Think back to this past week when the liberal loving sycophantic mainstream media aggressively and purposely passed on the “astroturfed” story about how mean, angry, and dangerously threatening all those McCain/Palin supporters are. There really wasn’t any concrete proof of this carefully crafted implicit assumption, it was just the drive-by media subversively passing on nObama’s hidden message that “I am black and they are the angry white mob out to lynch me”.

But now this is happening to McCain, the drive by media must do it’s job and propaganda-size the story to make sure this attack on free speech could in no way be misconstrued” as the thuggish behavior of any “angry black nObama supporters”

Read the article carefully . . . who were the perpetrators in the article . . . “angry black nObama supporters”? No, they were vandals.

Yeah right, vandals. Just some vandals in the neighborhood with nothing better to do than to aimlessly deface the local McCain campaign office. No, this just couldn’t be some KoolAid drinking nObama supporters doing what the Messiah instructed them to do by “”getting in the face of the opposition.”

Nothing to see here . . . move along people.
You can see the same “whitewashing” in this week’s story about how a 4’ X 8’ McCain campaign sign was firebombed in Portland. . . .

Authorities have arrested two men after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a 4-foot by 8-foot campaign sign for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in a southeast Portland yard.

Yeah, right . . . just two men!

Years from now if there is any politician running for office that has any associations with these two jerks I am sure the disclaimer will be Oh they were just two men who lived in my neighborhood.

My point here is this – the drive by media is so in the tank for any liberal leftist politician and nObama in particular that it will be very hard for McCain to pull this one out. But if he does end up defeating nObama, I think the very first thing conservatives all over this country should do is to try and bring an end to what is essentially the “Pravda of the Democratic party in this country. It is no longer a secret that Democrats no longer want the US to exist as a freedom loving Democracy. They no longer believe the US Constitution is an Ironclad document to live and govern by, but rather a living, breathing, ever evolving set of rules that needs to change along with what “society at the time” dictates.

The mainstream media abandoned their fiduciary duty to the American people years ago and now are nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Socialist Party of America. If we survive this election, it is time to bring an end to the mainstream media before they bring an end to America as we know it today!

It doesn’t take much looking back at all to see that during the Civil War and after the Republicans was the party of Lincoln and blacks voted in favor of it, which didn’t start to change until the Roosevelt New Deal in the 1930’s. Ergo, Republicans had nothing to do with slavery.

But it doesn’t matter. Incidents like this will get buried on page 15 of the daily news, if reported at all. Page 1 news is reserved for Obama, we should all know this by now.

The firing of water cannons on civil rights supporters.
The murders of civil rights supporters.
    Prompted by Democrats.

    Why?

BECAUSE THE DEMOCRATS WERE THE PARTY OF SLAVERY AND SEGREGATION!!!

Who opposed the Thirteenth Amendment, which abolished slavery?
    Democrats.
Who supported the Ku Klux Klan?
    Democrats.
    Who instituted the “Black Codes”?
    Democrats.
Who maintained “Jim Crow” and segregation?
    Democrats.

No matter how much they deny it and lie about it, the ‘rats supported slavery, secession and wanted to surrender to the Confederacy. Any American with any honest knowledge of history knows this. The ‘rats stood for segregation and still want to keep blacks enslaved and beholden to them. These creeps haven’t changed in 170 years, they’ve just become more evil.

  6. gipper says:

Republican does NOT mean slavery. Most Republicans lean toward conservatism and desire a limited government. Many Republican politicians strive to live up to the term “public servant”. Democrats, on the other hand, tend to favor a bigger government–a government where the people are made to serve. In essence, liberalism, socialism, and the Democratic party take us closer to slavery, with the Democratic leaders being the slavemasters. (If thats too harsh a word, you can substitute king and serfs.)

  7. Exeter says:

1st – “Excuse me, but wasn’t Abraham Lincoln a fricking REPUBLICAN?”

Another peculiar element of the early Republican party is, the Abolition Movement was the “Religious Right” – the narrow, “fanatic” base of the GOP much like the Pro-Life movement is now. In the years following the Civil War, it was the Radical Republican base that passed the XIII, XIV and XV Amendments to ensure American citizenship for blacks. It was the Democrats, after wresting control of Congress, that allowed the southern states to institute segregation with the ‘Black Codes’ and ‘Jim Crow’ laws (ironically, they did this by deceiving the newly-enfranchised blacks).

Somehow, the Dems have managed to realign the truth – slavery=freedom, and abolition=slavery. You have to admire the accomplishment; I can’t think of a more successful lie in history.

I know you will find this difficult to believe, and I understand because we’re on the same page here. However, my daughter (conservative to the core and attends an Ivy League University) learned in the public high school she attended that the Republican party of Abraham Lincoln were actually the Democrats. It gets confusing, those Republicans are actually today’s Democrats, and the Democrats are actually now today’s Republicans. Understand? Me neither, but that’s what the publik skools are saying. :)

  10. gipper says:

“It gets confusing, those Republicans are actually today’s Democrats, and the Democrats are actually now today’s Republicans.”

Your statement is untrue. I was taught the same thing and/or confused, too. The confusion mainly stems from the fact that the modern Democratic Party is an offshoot of the Democratic-Republican party. The modern Republican Party has a different bloodline.

    From Wikipedia:

[The Republican Party was] founded in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers…

The Democratic-Republican Party was founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in 1792. The term Democratic-Republican is a historian’s usage. Its members identified the party as the Republicans, Jeffersonians, Democrats,[1] or combinations of these (Jeffersonian Republicans, etc.).[2] .[3] It was the dominant political party in the United States from 1800 to 1824, when it split into competing factions, one of which became the modern Democratic Party.

  11. Exeter says:

wytammic – please get me in touch with those teachers – they’re confused by the formative years of our two-party system, and in dire need of a wall-to-wall education.

Alexander Hamilton really created the first political party – the Federalists, who were dedicated to getting the Constitution ratified. Thomas Jefferson and other opponents – those who feared Federalism and wanted to retain the Articles of Confederation – were called the anti-Federalists. Jefferson later called his party the “Republicans” to imply that the Federalists were not on the side of the people. The Federalists disintegrated shortly afterwards, and the so-called Republicans began to splinter into “adjective” parties (National Republicans, Independent Republicans, Democratic Republicans, etc.). Andrew Jackson emerged from the Democratic Republicans and adopted the name, “Democrat”. Their opponents, under Henry Clay, called themselves Whigs (after the British party of the rising middle-class). The Whigs eventually collapsed, divided as they were on slavery issues, while the remnants of that party gathered again and put John C. Fremont on their “Republican” ticket in 1856. They chose the name to insinuate that the Democrats had fallen away from Jefferson and their Republican roots. Then of course, Abraham Lincoln became president in 1860 – thus the birth (actually a rebirth) of the Republican Party.

Even now, the Democrats recognize Jefferson and Jackson as the founders of their party. Republicans, of course, are proud to be “The Party of Lincoln”. These party names have been established since 1828 and 1856 respectively, and have not changed. The Democrats have been on the wrong side of every major issue since their beginning – abortion, segregation, slavery, the Federal banking system, even the adoption of the Constitution itself. I guess this is why they need to rewrite history through the publik skool system. The teachers are either woefully ignorant or outright lying. I’m not sure which one is worse.

  12. wytammic says:

I understand exactly what Exeter is saying — this has always been my understanding of the political party histories. I’m not sure what Gipper is saying?

Anyway, my original point was, as stated by Exeter, that history must be re-written if the Democrats are going to come out looking like the saviors of US civilization.

Hey! Not all public schools are teaching the wrong things! I teach US history in the public schools and teach basically what Sharps Rifle and Exeter posted (though Exeter, that was very concise, I may quote you in a few weeks). While most social studies departments are liberal there are a few of us lone conservatives out there striving to spread the truth and teach our youth to THINK and see through the propaganda (on both sides). I’ll use this article tomorrow in class and point out the inconsistancies.

  15. Sharps Rifle says:

Well, at least there’s ONE more honest teacher out there…I thought I was alone.

  16. wytammic says:

Props to you two. :) Thank God for the public school teachers who do teach the truth and actual history. Seriously, hat’s off to you. Thanks. :)
