Warmer Weather Stations = Warmer Data

Global Warming Update

John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel, in an hour-long television documentary titled "Global Warming: The Other Side," presents evidence that our National Climatic Data Center has been manipulating weather data just as the now disgraced and under investigation British University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit. The NCDC is a division of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Its manipulated climate data is used by the Goddard Institute of Space Studies, which is a division of the National Aeronautical and Space Administration. John Coleman’s blockbuster five-part series can be seen here.

The Coleman documentary presents research by computer expert E. Michael Smith and Certified Consulting Meteorologist Joseph D’Aleo. During the 1960s and into the 1980s, the number of stations used for calculating global surface temperatures was about 6,000. By 1990, the number of stations dropped rapidly to about 1,500. Most of the stations lost were in the colder regions of the Earth. Not adjusting for their lost made temperatures appear to be higher than was in fact the case.

According to Science & Environmental Policy Project, Russia reported that CRU was ignoring data from colder regions of Russia, even though these stations were still reporting data. That means data loss was not simply the result of station closings but deliberate decisions by CRU to ignore them in order to hype their global warming claims. D’Aleo and Smith report that our NCDC engaged in similar deceptive activity where they have dropped stations, particularly in colder climates, higher elevations or closer to the polar regions. Temperatures are now simply projected for these colder stations from other stations, usually in warmer climates.

Mounting evidence of scientific fraud might make little difference in terms of the response to manmade global warming hysteria. Why? Vested economic and political interests have emerged where trillions of dollars and social control are at stake. Therefore, many people who recognize the scientific fraud underlying global warming claims are likely to defend it anyway.

Automobile companies have invested billions in research and investment in producing "green cars." General Electric and Phillips have spent millions lobbying Congress to outlaw incandescent bulbs so that they can force us to buy costly compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL). Farmers and ethanol manufacturers have gotten Congress to enact laws mandating greater use of their product, not to mention massive subsidies. Thousands of major corporations around the world have taken steps to reduce carbon emissions including giants like IBM, Nike, Coca-Cola and BP, the oil giant. Companies like Google, Yahoo and Dell have vowed to become "carbon neutral."

Then there’s Chicago Climate Futures Exchange that plans to trade in billions of dollars of greenhouse gas emission allowances. Corporate America and labor unions, as well as their international counterparts have a huge multi-trillion dollar financial stake in the perpetuation of the global warming fraud. Federal, state and local agencies have spent billions of dollars and created millions of jobs to deal with one aspect or another of global warming…

Yet another nail in the ‘global warming’ coffin that is already mighty full of nails.

The best way to lie is to tell the truth … just not all of it.

It’s like the arguments over C9H9HgNaO2S, or sodium ethylmercurithiosalicylate known under the trade name as Thimerasol. Rigging the data so the desired result is achieve is easy. Just don’t tell the whole story. (and if you believe the latest ‘debunking’ of autism, I have a bridge to sell you)

It’s ‘safe’ to inject into a child’s developing body, but we call out HAZMAT if it’s spilled and may become an aerosol agent.

Rhode Island has already outlawed mercury-bulb-thermometers because of the dangers of mercury or mercury related chemical substitutes breaking and becoming an aerosol. Weaponized, if you will. But it’s safe to inject into a child’s developing body.

I guarantee you in the Age Of Spin, the whole truth is not allowed because it steps on the toes of someone’s rice bowl. The WHOLEi truth regarding thimerasol is found in the stringent HAZMAT guidelines regarding it. Read those and then tell me you eagerly hope to inject your own child with it.

Same truth applies to corrupting HOW climate data is collected.

There’s no theory in a criminal conspiracy.

I can only imagine what future generations are going to think and say about this generation. People will think know we are a bunch of people who have lost our ever loving minds!

If we don’t get back to common sense morality, and QUICK, we are a lost people, thus nation, thus world.

This business of the mercury laden light bulbs is completely nuts! I’ve asked everyone I know, if they know how dangerous they are. Most don’t even know they have mercury in them. The ones that do know, parrot the mantra “the amount involved is so minute” as to be no danger. Well, is that so? Why then do they have such stringent Hazmat directions for disposal? And those who know about the disposal directions are few and far between.

Not to mention that the ones who don’t know about the mercury and are tossing them into the trash…which goes into the landfill. It won’t be so ‘minute’ after so many are dumped there. And again, not to even mention if one gets broken in the home.

In the name of getting rich for some (algore) and manipulation from some large corps trying to corner a market and make extra bucks…we all have to be subjected to all the fallout of “global warming”?

In the end, if, with this bunch making the laws, we are fortunate enough to have a future as a nation, our descendants are going to wonder just how high our IQ was and/or if we are descended, not from apes, but sheep!

And to know mercury light bulbs are only a very small example of the lunacy that is taking over, is scary. Talk about special interests!

We can’t blame it all on the left either. We on the right have not exactly done what needs to be done to oust these idiots

  3. proreason says:

You don’t need to point out the fraud to illustrate the lunacy of the warmists position.

No rational person would risk a $20 bet on their data.

The weather stations have been around for about 150 years. Basing anything on that data is preposerous.
    – the methods 150 years ago were primitive and inaccurate.
    – the equipment fails
    – the stations are regularly moved
    – there is no reliable method for gathering the data
    – data gets lost
    – the data is in multiple format and can easily be misinterpretted
    – the stations are mostly in populated areas. Where are the stations in the ocean, which cover 70% of the planet? Where are the stations in Siberia? the Sahara? inner Australie?
    – the computer systems that assemble the already flawed data are flawed themselves, like all systems
    – human judgement, even if well-meaning, affects every one of the hundreds of steps to asemble the data
    – the is not way to experiment with the data. It cannot be recreated. There is no laboratory for the Earth.

Yet, we are told that tiny fractions of 1 degree are monumentally meaningful.

And that’s the GOOD data. Tree rings, ice cores, and ocean cores are FAR LESS RELIABLE.

Note that not a word of the above presumes any malfeasance whatsoever.

As I said, no rational person would risk $20 on that data.

But that isn’t stopping them from risking the very future of humanity on it.

They are, unquestionably, the most colossal idiots who have ever lived.

What a marvelous ‘scientific system’ that found this global warming catastrophe. Why we could import it into our schools. No longer would we have to test all the students in each class. We could just test the top ten percent, and then give their grades (maybe minus ten percent) to all the other students. Think of how much time that would save and the benefits to all pupils by having their grades correlated to the best and brightest. I hear the University of East Anglia have freed up their computer programmers for other ventures. Or maybe they could be employed by US Department of Labor to find all those saved and created jobs.

  5. Right of the People says:

Then there’s Chicago Climate Futures Exchange that plans to trade in billions of dollars of greenhouse gas emission allowances.

Does this sound any alarms to anybody? I wonder if our fearless leader has anything to do with it?

  6. Gladius et Scutum says:

Maybe if the GOP gets the House, we could get some hearings on this fraud. Maybe even get that “rocket scientist” who runs around with Al Gore on the hot seat. Too bad the IPCC’s Piltdown man we recently recovered from the Himyalan glaciers has UN diplomatic immunity.

Sadly, some of the republicans buy into this crap, (or pretend to).
