government that is transparent (5day web site viewing of any legislation?) and doesn’t steal from the people (or get read – even by the authors)
the freedom to live as you choose (”Ya can’t just eat anything you want .. drive your big SUV’s .. set your thermostats at 72″).
Those are not just American ideas, (least not under my rule – administration!)
they are human rights, (usually reserved for big shot humans – like me!)
and that is why we will support them everywhere (with meaningless words).

“Words! Just words.” Yup, o-blah-blah. Yup!

Pretty soon we’ll be seeing these words in the Washington Post, NY Slimes, LA Slimes, Boston Globe, etc, etc, etc once Newspeak becomes the official language of the press. Fox and talk radio better watch out, it’s 1984 just 25 years late.

Freedom is what spurred on the protests in Iran….. the freedom of America and the example of Iraq.

These days I find I need something stronger than Mozart. I put on Wagner’s “Götterdämmerung” as befits the new golden age of Nerobama. Usually “Immolation of the Gods” or “Siegfried’s Funeral March,” like they played it in Germany after Stalingrad. Or else turn on the radio and listen to Mark Levin. Then kick back with a couple of bottles of Bass Ale to numb out the pain and memory.

Jane Austen wrote, “If any one faculty of our nature may be called more wonderful than the rest, I do think it is memory.” But lately I have discovered that better than memory is the power to forget.

This is all he ever does. You can’t pin him down on anything.

He waits to see which way the wind blows so as to be on the winning side and claim the victory as all in his plans, or as in “Hope & Change”, it means anything any one individual wants it to mean.

If he fails to meet someones idea of “Hope & Change” too bad. He didn’t actually promise anything or actually say what you thought he said.

1000 people = 1000 meanings of hope and change. Why can’t the libs catch on to that simple fact? Oh…right…they are simple minded.

Sounds good.

But why then has a a high-profile campaign been initiated to muffle Talk Radio and Fox News.

And why was contract law violated with Chrysler, and in the firing of the Inspector Generals, and many other instances;, and why is the SCOTUS nominee one whose goal is to judge by her feelings rather than the law. And why is the census bureau begin moved under the White House.

And why were the Black Panther voting place knee-breakers summarily released.

And why is trillions of dollares from us and untold future generations being confiscated for political payola.

And why are Cap and Tax and Universal Health Scare and Government Motors imposing government solutions that the people don’t want?

But maybe that speech was just for “foreign countries”.

In this country, facism rules.

I now quote the late great Rodney Dangerfield, “The last time I saw a mouth like that …. it had a hook in it!!”

What amazes me is how are they able to sleep at night, knowing this is BS! Not to mention do they have any clue what they are doing to our countries reputation in the world? All we can do is keep protesting and wait til midterm elections and hopefully some changes can be made so at least we’ll be able to know the country isn’t being given away any further.

Remember the days of not having to worry about what was going to happen tomorrow and how things seemed to be relatively safe? Six months into this administration and I’m already missing GWB.

White House Says Obama’s Cairo Speech Spurred Democracy Movement in Iran, Scoffs at the Neoconservatives’ 8-Year Mission to Democratize Mideast

“We’re trying to promote a foreign policy that advances our interests, not that makes us feel good about ourselves,” said a senior administration official who, like others, declined to be identified, citing the sensitivity of the issue.

Obama’s approach to Iran, including his assertion that the unrest there represents a debate among Iranians unrelated to the United States, is an acknowledgment that a U.S. president’s words have a limited ability to alter foreign events in real time and could do more harm than good. But privately Obama advisers are crediting his Cairo speech for inspiring the protesters, especially the young ones, who are now posing the most direct challenge to the republic’s Islamic authority in its 30-year history.

One senior administration official with experience in the Middle East said, “There clearly is in the region a sense of new possibilities,” adding that “I was struck in the aftermath of the president’s speech that there was a connection. It was very sweeping in terms of its reach.”

I believe it was Alan Dershowitz who said that chutzpah is “killing your parents and then throwing yourself on the mercy of the court, because you are an orphan.”

I can’t map the analogy perfectly, but you get the idea.
