Having not given up yet, I find this deathgrip by Obama around the notion that it is BEST to divulge our innermost interrogation procedures and other secrets never revealed before to be nothing short of strangling the baby in the crib. Our stance against the Middle East has been put off since the 1972 oil embargo, done by OPEC in alliance against our support of Israel, which amounts to an act of economic terrorism. Add to that the more lethal acts of terrorist activities–hijackings, kidnappings, and bombings have followed for the past 35 years–and it becomes obvious that our attention to the problem has been compromised because of oil for far too long.

When we finally begin to fight not the oil shieks and the ruling families, but the crazy lunatic fringe who control to some degree the king’s population, we are met with what seems to be operatic hues and cries from the Left. All of the “Bush lied, people died”, has seemed so juvenile and niave from the moment it went up on the MSM, but…we have actually become sidelined because of it.

And now, we actually see a grown adult try to commit Americide. He is helped along by the conversation between regular Americans, many misguided, that goes something like this:

YOU: Well, we sure are handing the enemy everything he needs to win this war, thanks to Obama.

THEM: It’s international law we’re worried about. We have to follow these rules of engagement when we do war.

YOU: Does al Qaeda follow those rules?

THEM: Doesn’t matter.

YOU: Really? How does that work?

THEM: We need to Mirandize battlefield combatants we catch, so as to lead the world by example, then they’ll see the error of their ways and do the same.

YOU: So, you have faith that the Islamic Brotherhood will reform their jihadist ways if we set the example first…

THEM: Yes.

YOU: But you don’t have any faith that abstinence programs work for teenage American girls.

It is to those of you on this forum who don’t shy away from “the” conversation at work, (whether it’s affirmative action, abortion, gay marriage, socialized healthcare, etc), in church, at the grocery store…or wherever, that I drink my next Mickey’s widemouth to!

But the liberal hippies of yesteryear are running the commune and, like any highly focused special interest group, they cannot see beyond the borders of their own thinking. They still draw upon the experiences of the 1960′s, real or imagined where “the man” (that would be conservative thinkers and reasonable people) are the bad guys and thus, everything that was “the establishment” (remember that term? they used it often to describe that which would prohibit them from smoking dope everywhere and setting up a head shop on any street corner, or anything else they wanted)is to be gone against.

They perceive that “the man” and “the establishment” were critically biased and blind to the needs of everyone, especially people most unlike ourselves. Thus, it follows that, to them, terrorists and radical muslims, etc, are to be accommodated as misunderstood and needing of, not only constitutional rights, but even SPECIAL rights…much as we have the now ever-so-popular hate crimes to differentiate from plain, ordinary, run-of-the-mill crimes.

They are unaware of this fallacy and cannot see it if you painted it on the wall and shone a light on it. They live in denial simply because to them, everything the US has done since 1776 is wrong and radical muslims are simply another minority that “bald white men” are prejudiced against and they cannot see the dichotomy and clash of cultures, let alone basic ideologies.

When they see a US citizen or Westerner’s remains hanging beheaded, they feel that the victim somehow deserved it for the US has created these miscreants of the world by its “unfair” treatment of them.

They see the world as needing a benevolent caretaker…who to them is Blammo, the magic negro, who, clearly understands and is a victim himself. Again, blindness of choice for the hippy-in-power.

And this benevolent dictator will reach out his hand and like so many of their theme songs of the 60′s the planets will align, the stars will all smile and peace will reign over the Earth.

Many of my friends think I’m nuts for pointing out that liberals are religious zealots. Not the religion of Christ or Buddha or anything like that. But the religion of Utopia. That all the crap and drivel they fed themselves since their brains were still growing and the lack of self-critiquing and critical thinking have taken their toll and produced….Nancy Pelosi, Bawney Fwank and all the other dreamers in congress who think they can now right the wrongs of 200+ years of this nation’s existence in one fell swoop.

The dining room table arguments that these hippies once had with their parents have left a festering sore that they wish to heal. And they’re gonna show everybody how right they (think they) are. Yet, it’s all going horribly wrong and we know it, the world knows it and the only people left are the fellow Utopians. They will never know it.

They have spent a lifetime blaming others, being taught how to blame others and shirk and fend off self-reliance, responsibility and respect for the opinions of others.

They will never understand the damage they are causing, that they will have caused and why it all went so horribly wrong.

They cannot marry a concept with a practical application. If they were the Wright Brothers, they would only see the vision of being able to fly and write and sing and dance about it. But they would never suppose how to study aerodynamics, the design of a practical wing, the forces that act on it and the problem-solving to make a functioning flying machine. If anyone did, Al Gore would be there to tell them it’s impossible; That the air has no ability to allow man to fly. Barney Frank would be there to force them to make their airplane so that anyone could fly it and understand how it works. Pelosi would be there to say that flying is torture, then later deny that she even knew the Wright Brothers talked to her about it.

It’s all about trying to appear smart while knowing nothing of which they speak. I see it all the time. I am involved in very technical training and often people ask me the most ridiculous questions, but even better, they start to explain to me how it all works. Incorrectly. They want to appear smart, savvy, knowledgeable, even clever. All out of fear of appearing stupid.

Yet, we all know the real end result of that.

But taking up any cause not explicitly in opposition to the American government is not a priority on the left. Their appeasement would have us coddle and surrender to the terrorists or their advocates while we go under from all the “hope and change” against the private sector.

At least most Americans oppose bringing Guantanamo detainees to American shores. And most, unlike that tongue-in-cheek story by Time Magazine, understand that it takes more than a few sugar free cookies to placate guys who want to destroy the country.

Parry pointed to the years 2012 to 2018 as the tipping point when the current global power structure will begin to crumble. We’re seeing some of this happening already.
