WH: Defunding Planned Parenthood ‘Could Break Law’

Notice how quickly the White House has stepped in here to stop the states from defunding of Planned Parenthood. Meanwhile, the Obama White House has yet to say one word against PP selling baby parts for profit. Why is that?

From The Hill:

WH warns states: Defunding Planned Parenthood might break law

By Peter Sullivan | August 12, 2015

The Obama administration has warned Louisiana and Alabama that they could be violating federal law by cutting off Planned Parenthood from their states’ Medicaid programs.

Would this be a good time to ask if ‘sanctuary cities’ don’t violate federal law?

The Republican governors in both states this month terminated their state Medicaid contracts with the organization in the wake of controversial undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood officials discussing the price of fetal tissue for medical research. But the White House points out that federal law says Medicaid beneficiaries may obtain services from any qualified provider and that cutting Planned Parenthood out of the program restricts that choice.

Which just shows to what extent the Obama administration will go in order to keep killing the unborn. It’s a religious tenet for them.

The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS) has contacted Louisiana and Alabama about the issue…

Were they wearing jackboots when they contacted them? Were they heavily armed?

Mike Reed, a spokesman for Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R), indicated the state and its Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) are standing by its decision. He cited a provision in the state Medicaid contract allowing either party to cancel it at will, with 30 days notice. “CMS reached out to DHH after we canceled the Medicaid provider contract with Planned Parenthood,” Reed said. “DHH explained to CMS why the state chose to exercise our right to cancel the contract without cause.” …

So it isn’t against the law. What a shock.

Planned Parenthood praised the Obama administration’s move…

Surely they jest! Since when has breaking the law meant anything to the White House?

the Affordable Care Act language that subsidies would be available only to those who purchase insurance on exchanges “established by the state” .

those silly four words were a nuance that went right over the heads of 34 states

Roberts, writing for the majority, said while the contentious phrase was ambiguous, its meaning in context of the law as a whole was clear.

“The context and structure of the Act compel us to depart from what would otherwise be the most natural reading of the pertinent statutory phrase,” Roberts wrote.

    Corrupt demagoguery.

The failures of the United States’ education “system” are bearing fruit for the socialist party.

The lack of any reasonable training in what socialism is, its tenets, its failure and its implementation have given rise to an emotional-“think” people who are enamored of demagogues rather than skilled and/or rational thinking.

Thus, as in Alice In Wonderland, words mean what they say they mean; No more, no less. And it’s ridiculously easy for them to get away with it, the same way it is for president D-Bag to break the law and other socialists as well for two reasons which combine into one:

    1) The emotionally-based twits have believed all their lives that the “other side” (us) did it to, thus making it “fair” and

    2) The left is justified in doing it whether the argument of the “other side doing it” is valid or not because the intentions are to make things fair which is as noble a cause as anything, right?

We were talking today about teachers when we went to school some 50 years ago—and the swat you’d get or the whack with a ruler, etc. And we remarked that many of the teachers who utilized corporal discipline were often very well-liked. Why? For one thing, discipline was enforced but….BUT….in all my years in school I’d only seen it used once. Thus, the mere threat of getting a whack was enough to keep your mouth shut, do as your told and not make trouble or act up.

In other words, the teacher was known more and better for actually teaching than whacking the wrists of students. And thus, the appreciation for their methods.

Meanwhile, the 60’s and 70’s come around and whoa!!! It’s to where you cannot even criticize a child for fear of destroying their ability to become “self -actualized” or some such garbage.

But the left has owned this “argument” forever. Appealing to the emotional construct (false though it may be) instead of reason and logic.

We are now in the society that the hippies dreamed about…all fair…all equal…and they’ll kill you to make sure you believe it too.
