What If US Did What Lebanese Are Doing?

Some wire service photographs from the months long (apparently secret) war being waged by the Lebanese upon their peaceful and innocent Palestinian guests:

Where is the outrage?

There certainly would be outrage if the US did anything like this in Iraq.

There was certainly outrage when the Israelis did far less in Lebanon. Shouldn’t that moral paragon Jesse Jackson and his son be touring the devastation?

US civil rights leader Jesse Jackson (R) inspects buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs that were damaged by the recent conflict between Israel and Lebanon’s Hizbollah, August 29, 2006.

And where in the name of Allah are all of the pictures of the poor Palestinian victims? The ubiquitous women and children?

Where is their "Green Helmet Guy"?

The "mangled" toys?

It’s almost as if there are two standards.

One for us (and Israel) and another for the rest of the world.

Even when they are killing everyone’s favorite victims, the Palestinians.
