There is usually one plane that is the preferred ride of the President, but there are a couple reserved for use at the highest executive and diplomatic level, and sometimes (e.g. when the First Lady, VP, Secy of State have been sent around the world on a high-profile mission in the President’s preferred ride) the President uses one of those others. The removable seals are thus a necessity.

I understand that President Bush sent this plane to pick up Obama. I haven’t heard or read anything about who made the decision to use the Presidential Seal.

Even though The One ™ has created his own phony Office of the President-Elect and has been giving almost daily press conferences – when it counts – he is deathly silent.

I can’t wait for the next 4 years. It is going to be the worst 4 years in existance.

The country deserves better than what we got. Unfortunately, the majority, those who voted him into office, got what they deserve. Too bad the rest of us have to be along for the ride.

Oh yeah – I forgot – The Globe or the National Enquirer or The Naughty Tabloid (I didn’t look at the cover) has the goods – The One ™ was born in Mombassa Kenya. And someone (or some news paper) has the ‘raised seal’ birth certificate to ‘prove’ it – can’t wait for this to be marginalized (now that it is appearing in such a credible ‘news’ publication) to be found out to be true after The One ™ is sworn in. Nothing important here, move along –

Sort of like Bill Richardson stepping aside (commonly refered to as ‘falling on the sword’) since he is embroiled in an investigation into a company/person who was in/attempting to sell/buy a Senate seat – hmmm now, exactly where did I hear that one?!?

Fasten your seatbelts kiddies – the next 4 years are going to make the Clintons look like pikers. The One is so damn dirty, he is going to make Chicago look clean.

Just as you’ve mentioned, the fact that he’s been mute concerning the Middle East meltdown in Gaza is proof enough to me that HE, at least, knows how unqualified he is for the job. I sense his confidence eroding already.

Obama’s real trick will be to keep the bulk of the population deluded as to just how clueless and inept a leader he is. He managed the illusion for an almost-two-year campaign, but there is a limit to how much the public will allow him to blame his predecessor.

Now that Obama has the reins, everyone expects results, not ‘just words’. All the glitz and glitter, all the pomp and ceremony, all the flowery rhetoric, all the glow of his ‘historical election’ will not cloak his incompetence. Having set the bar so high in the people’s estimation, he has become a victim of his own success. It won’t be long before his impotence is revealed to the multitudes that bought in to the charade. And we know they are an impatient lot.

I’m reminded of the saying, “When you’re up to your ass in alligators, its difficult to remind ones self that the initial objective was to drain the swamp.”

What I do find notable is that every day after the election, “The One” took to the podium to spew his gobbily gook, style over substance rhetoric to the American people, commenting on one thing or another. Now that he is facing the possible explosion of the whole Middle East, and Muslim violence in other parts of the world as they protest the Israeli defense of their home land, he has suddenly gone mute. Already Muslim protesters in the Middle East are mocking him wearing face masks of Obama’s face with a cigarette hanging from his mouth.

How long to take him to find out he is over his head and his merry group of Clinton retreads are not going to be able to cover his ass longer than about Jan. 21, 2009?

How much extra did that cost the US Taxpayers?

Remember technically Obama is right now a private citizen. The Office of President Elect is not a office in fact in law but just a creation of PR hype.

Also he is not even yet officially the President Elect.

He has resigned his Senate Seat and is now just a civilian.

The votes for the Electoral College have been cast and sent to the National Archives but the tabulation of the vote does not occur until Jan 8th and that is the point he truly becomes the President Elect.

Obama arrives in Washington area

ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE (AP) — President-elect Barack Obama has landed in the Washington area, setting up a final march toward his Jan. 20 inauguration.

Obama landed Sunday evening at Andrews Air Force Base before heading for his temporary home at the Hay-Adams Hotel across from the White House. His wife and two young daughters made the same trip from Chicago on Saturday.

Obama landed at the military base aboard a government 757 typically used by vice presidents, first ladies and congressional leaders.
