Whew! Biden Says US Did OK In Spy Swap

From a star struck Associated Press:

Biden tells Leno US did fine in Russian spy swap

Sat Jul 10, 2010

BURBANK, Calif. – Vice President Joe Biden had to convince a skeptical Jay Leno on Friday that the United States didn’t get a raw deal from Russia in the biggest spy swap since the Cold War.

Leno asked Biden during a taping of "The Tonight Show" why the U.S. was sending 10 accused spies back to Russia while getting only four in return.

"That doesn’t seem fair," Leno said.

"We got back four really good ones," Biden reassured Leno. "And the ten, they’ve been here a long time, but they hadn’t done much."

Notice that Mr. Biden is hereby officially ‘admitting’ that the people the Russians had captured were spying for the West. Something that they themselves have consistently denied, and something for which there is little to no proof.

If Mr. Biden actually were a respected public official, this would be a scandal in itself.

Leno then showed a sultry photo of alleged Russian agent Anna Chapman and asked: "Do we have any spies that hot?"

Biden’s reply, in a mock-serious tone: "Let me be clear. It was not my idea to send her back."

The vice president also said he had one more suggestion for the deal that was ignored.

"I thought they’d take Rush Limbaugh," he said

Leno jabbed Biden for his tendency to make very public gaffes, pointing out an open-microphone expletive Biden uttered when Obama signed health care legislation in April.

Biden said he warned Obama before taking the job.

"I told the president two things when he asked me to do the job," Biden said. "I said, ‘Just two conditions, Mr. President. I’m not going to wear any funny hats, and I’m not changing my brand.’ And I kept my promise."

Mr. Biden has long been a comedian. It’s just a shame he’s never been funny.

Still, isn’t it reassuring to hear from Mr. Biden that the ‘spy swap’ was in the interest of the United States?

After all, when has he ever been wrong before?

    Obamy’s Declaration of Independence Dependence.

We hold these truths to be self evident:

    – All men are created equal except that groups who vote 98% for me are more equal than the others
    – The right to other people’s money is inalienable
    – My right to restrict other people’s freedom is inalienable
    – People that don’t vote for me should not be happy
    – The United States has done nothing right, ever
    – Capitalists have done nothing right, ever
    – White slavemasters have done nothing right, ever
    – The Rule of Law is sacrosanct. The Laws that I say, and when I say it.
    – Hard work and skill are ok, but they don’t give you the right to keep what you make from people who vote for me
    – Taxes = progress
    – Churches should be separated from the state by diallowing them, except Muslim churches
    – Abortion is an inalienable right
    – Gay people are more equal than people who aren’t gay
    – The law doesn’t apply to me
    – There is no such thing as an illegal alien. Only future Obamy voters.
    – People who disagree with are wrong
    – Only I know the truth

ProReason, He said in his speech the Declaration of Independence was created by men of “wealth & property”; a snub (which is not even true), and it took Abraham Lincoln to straighten it out.

Biden reassured Leno. “And the ten, they’ve been here a long time, but they hadn’t done much.”

Yes, the ten lived in the freedom of America up til their short detention, while
our spies lived in the darkened inhumane prisons of Russia.
Taking the Russian spies freedom away a few days longer may have led to our gathering more information.

Doesn’t Biden contradict Holder bragging at Aspen party the Russian spys were up to something very bad? Just his illusion to make Obama look
like he’s catching bad people. Obama is letting them go free.

Real amusing that even after the judge said that the confessions of the one Gitmo terrorists couldn’t be used, but fortunately he pleaded guilty.
And then the terrorist in NYC trial that had to go through legal loops, shrinks, & begging to plead guilty so they can see allah some day.

Obama & Holder are violating Islam religion of Al Qaida terrorists
trying to prevent them from going to heaven & meet allah. That maj Hasan that cowardly gunned down dozens of armless Amercians, is now cowardly refusing
to stand for his allah & take responsibility. He will burn.

“And the ten, they’ve been here a long time, but they hadn’t done much.”

So what were they doing? Reading the New York Times and passing on the government secrets they publish?

  5. Chinnubie says:

You know they could have been telling everyone around them that they were spies for Russia and most of the liberals would have told them, “If you need any help from me, just let me know.” I’m sure they would have been more than happy to give away any National Secrets that would have suited their (Russians) handlers.

How disgusting it is getting among our population that we aren’t calling for their heads?? At the very least lifetime appointments at a Super-Max prison. Are we getting so passive in our politics that we could care less what happens to these internal maggots, attempting to go right along with the President to bring this Great Country to its knees???

    • Petronius says:

Chinnubie, that raises an interesting question.

Who do you think the Russian spies voted for in 2008? Perhaps one of our enterprising American journalists might discover whether the Russians were registered to vote, and whether they made political donations, and, if so, for whom?

(Yes, I know, of course that assumes that such a thing exists as an enterprising American journalist.)
