BALTIMORE - As Sarah Kreager, 26, tried to sit down on a Baltimore City bus Tuesday, police say, a middle-schooler told her she couldn’t. When she attempted to take another seat, a middle-schooler wouldn’t let her. Finally, according to police, Kreager just sat down.
She was “immediately attacked” by nine students — three females and six males — from Robert Poole Middle School. They punched and kicked her at 2:59 p.m. at the intersection of 33rd Street and Chestnut Avenue, according to Maryland Transit Administration police.
Kreager was dragged off the bus and her boyfriend, Troy Ennis, attempted to get her back on, police said.
She sustained “serious injuries” and had to be transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to a police report.
Kreager suffered two broken bones in her left eye socket, police said.
“She had eye muscles that were damaged,” a police report states. “She had deep lacerations on the top of her head and another above her neck.”
Two seats and the bus’ rear glass were destroyed during the attack, police said.
The bus driver on the No. 27 line quickly called police, who responded and arrested the nine juveniles, said Jawauna Greene, an MTA police spokeswoman.
All nine suspects, ages 14 and 15, were arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Their bus tickets — provided by the school — have been revoked, Greene said…
Greene said the investigation into the incident was ongoing and she didn’t know whether the attack had anything to do with the victim’s race.
The suspects in the incident are black. The victim is white, according to the police report…
But this was not a hate crime, of course.
No way.

I suspect there was an obvious reason. At least obvious to them.
But note that the race of those involved on either side are mentioned no where in this article.
Color me highly skeptical.

I hope this wasn’t a field trip that they were all on. “Now this time class, we don’t let any of the white people sit down in the bus.” WHAT WAS EVERYONE THINKING? (Yes, I am YELLING) Or were they? This appears racist!

Some how I doubt that the spitting or the knife occured as wouldn’t that have been seen by the others and reported to the police. Or that the kids would have reported seeing a knife to the police at the time. It was just made up by the kids as a reason to get out of going to prison till they are 21, which should happen to them. If someone spits at you, you can swear and leave the bus, you don’t beat someone that severely and drag them out of the bus after you have broken down the door. You want to be that the race baiters are going to be protesting this “unprovoked racist attack on our youth.” Some how I also doubt that all the open seats on the bus were reserved. You want to bet that people in the school and at home has taught these kids to play the race card often as possible against white people and that anything they do is okay because their ancestors “were oppressed” or some othere BS. And the parents seem to have this attitude that their little brats are angels and are only defending themselves instead of the little racist thugs that they are. You want to bet that even if these kids actually go to trial and get convicted of assult they get like 1 month in juvenial hall and some probabtion. I doubt it will even go that far, the DA will probably drop the case or have them plead to some piddly little charge that gives them a couple hours of community service. You can’t just be “defending themselves” as there seemed to be little damage to her body and all the damage was to her face, that screams to me an attack on purpose with the intent of causing at much damage as possible. Thank god that they didn’t do enough damage to blind or kill the poor woman. I’m waiting for these little thugs to get a gun or guns (proabably illegally) and shoot some poor person because they chose to ride a city bus that has seats “reserved” for blacks, probably the only seat thats not reserved is the driver’s seat.
At least the bus company booted them from the bus and banned their tickets.

Well, the spitting part sounds reasonable to me. I mean, that’s what I do every time I step aboard an urban bus and see that it is filled with a dozen or so African-American teenagers…I walk up to the nearest one and spit in his or her face. Yep, that’s what I do.
I must say, however, that I only do this when I’m off my meds and feeling suicidal. So yes, I can see that happening…uh-huh.

The woman should sue all the little thugs and parents for every thing they have or ever will have.

This is probably racist and I am bigoted in some respects, but have any of y’all ever seen a black fight someone one on one? It seems it takes 3+ before they have the guts to do anything. Like a pack of hyenas feeding off the carcass of the Great Society.

This will be Baltimore’s version of the Jena 6, or 7 or whatever the hell they were. Jesse and his blow hard racist buddy Al will show up to lead a march against the “injustice of it all”. And being so close to our wonderful national capitol, I’m sure they can find a black crackhead ex-mayor to support them along with all the black asshole idiots that will follow him to Baltimore. Hell you can even expect a good number of the congressional black caucus to be there. You know who I’m talking about….all the usual suspects. The victims had best stand-by for high winds and heavy seas because they won’t be the victim for long….they will surely be the vilified white trash perps before it’s all over.

Betsy Ross….while I agree with your statement and mariebryant’s that there seems to be a pack mentality, I disagree that it’s only in blacks. Although not necessarily in this country, yet, the same mentality seems to run rampant among the race most likely to be Muslim.

Speaking of serving, tomorrow is Pearl Harbor Day. It’s estimated by the Department of Veterans Affairs that less than 5000 Pearl Harbor Survivors are still living. Only about 50 will gather tomorrow for remembrances at Pearl Harbor. Last year was declared the last “official” reunion. I was fortunate to be there last year and met, talked and drank a few with many of them. I can’t imagine they are happy about how their sacrifices have led to the state of affairs in this country today.
Please take a minute or two tomorrow to remember Pearl Harbor, the men and women who served on that day and all the members of the WWII Military known as the Greatest Generation.

My bro-in-law met with the DA today about his assault/mugging/robbery at UT campus. 1. They don’t want to serve to two guys with assault. 2. DA’s office won’t admit to him ithat they are “illegals” (Thus, ICE won’t be contacted.) 3. They wanted him to agree to letting them off with probation. (He wouldn’t agree to that.) 4. Both of the criminals have been arrested numerous times on many different charges. 5. The criminals have ACLU lawyers. So I am feeling rather bitter about the Judicial system right about now. I guess Austin is officially a “sanctuary city”. Who Knew? (sarc)

Whoa, I had no idea texaspsue lived here in Austin, too. What assault was this? Was it on the news? Usually crimes that happen around the UT campus tend to be suppressed to avoid bad PR for the university, so I’m not surprised I didn’t hear about it. Especially if it involved illegals. Or “undocumented assailants” in this case.

Okay, I’m curious. I wasn’t there so I’m making assumptions. First assumption is that this was a couple who knew nothing about self defense or situational awareness (i.e. liberals). Second assumption is that we have a bunch of great big, martial arts type 14 & 15 year olds traveling on the buses in Baltimore, wanting to be just like Ray Lewis. Either that or American kids are growing a heck of a lot faster than the German and American kids here in Europe.
I’m also assuming that these kids all come from middle class families that can afford to put a whole lot of food on the table and give them the opportunity to build up those young bodys, take martial arts or self defense courses, and kick some A_ _.
Recommendations:
1. If you’re uncomfortable, get off the freakin’ bus.
2. If you’re uncomfortable and don’t get off the freakin’ bus, sit in either the last row or the first row. Last row is preferable. You can’t be surrounded and it limits the number of attackers. It’s also close to an emergency exit, which this couple discovered the hard way. Front row seats allow you access to the driver and the area near the door, however you may have to be violent in order to get from your seat, into the aisle and to the door. Since this area is usually lower than the bus floor and surrounded on three sides, it will provide some protection until the door opens again. It also allows you to have access to the driver and his area, allowing you to do many creative things, especially if the driver won’t get involved with a situation on the bus. My favorite trick is pulling the parking brake, which I have done in the past, although it was a different situation. Brace yourself as the vehicles wheels will lock up and anyone not expecting it loses footing. Be Advised: others could be hurt through this action as the driver will lose control. You may be subject to legal action. You can then either exit the bus if you know how to open the door, or proceed to whup up on teenagers which will probably get you involved with the police as a subject rather than a victim, depending upon the city in which this occurs. However, there’s an old saying “better to be tried by twelve than carried by six”.
3. When a 14 or 15 year old, wandering the bus aisles, tells you a seat is taken tell them “yea, it’s taken by me and my wife. Now sit your butt down!”
4. If a situation becomes violent, everyone has things on them that can be used as weapons. Car/house keys are the norm as most people have these. Finger nails are great, too. Gouge that eye! A butane lighter that you can turn up real high will also freak some criminals out (fear of fire, especially if the hair is long). Belts, especially those with a big buckle. Wrap it around your fist, leaving the buckle at the top with about 3-4 inches of belt flopping out. This was (don’t know if it still is) something good Marines knew how to do back in the 30’s and 40’s. The belts may have changed since then. Any ex-gyrenes know?
5. Or, if you prefer, you can get your butt kicked like this couple did.
I’m sure I’ve not touched all the bases, anyone else with different or better ideas?
It still amazes me. Two adults couldn’t handle 9 just barely teenagers. Guess they’re gonna make great parents some day.

Stand by. Here in Long Beach, Ca, we had an incident where nine black youths attacked and severely beat two white youths. There were all sorts of support for the thugs, even some from the national level. Somehow when incidents like this occurs, they want to canonize the criminal thugs and downplay the vicitms’ injuries. Wait for the spin to come out on this story from Jesse, et al.

I have to disagree with you Lurking. Here in Hawaii, some of these kids are over 200 lbs. Also, we are talking about a quick attack in a close space. She most likely didn’t have a chance to get the keys ready or pull off her belt. Also, alot of adults are very aware that if you lay a finger on kids, the lawyers will sue you for everything.
For WI, they are doing the ceremony at Kilo Pier again and they are putting up a flag for all of the servicemen killed. There are only five survivers left in Hawaii. I think it is a closed ceremony.
Also, nasty weather today so it may be moved but I’m thinking the only place they would go is the museum on Ford Island.

CoE, unfortunately only whites commit hate crimes… unless it’s a hard working oriental, then they can also be racists and commit “hate crimes”.
This “hate” crime stuff is a bunch of racist crap. If two whites beat on a black, it’s a hate crime. If 8 blacks beat on a white it isn’t. The States and the Feds need to pull their heads out, take a deep breath, and end what I see as being a racist, exclutionary law.
NCJ, love ya brother, but you’re gonna have to prove to me that these kids were that big. Now if you’re talking about Islanders, yep, I’ve seen big ones. One of the bones in my left hand still hurts when it gets real cold almost 30 years after I tried to tackle a Samoan running back who just kinda shrugged me off and I my chest landed on the hand, knocked the wind out of me plus hurt the hand.
By the way, NCJ, when was the last time you were in Yokuska/Yokohama area? I was one of the few U.S. Army military police guys in Yokohama over 30 years ago serving at North Pier. I remember some of the Shore Patrol folks from Yoko. You remember any of those places?

I think this is one of those crimes where the juveniles should be tried as adults. I also think it should be a hate crime, but then the victims are the wrong race/color/religion/sexual orienatation.

I would agree Lurkin, but I am a heartless conservative. or at least, so I’m told. Hell, I would try the majority of juveniles who commit serious/violent crimes as adults and if convicted, they should serve the same sentences as ‘adult’ felons.
Let me expound a bit. Juvenile laws, I believe, were enacted because children, may or may not realize the cause and effect of a crime, or the societal reasoning for an action being considered criminal. Simply put, children may not truly know the difference between right and wrong.
Does a six year old realize the finality of death? Not likely, how about a ten year old? Maybe but IMHO, juveniles thirteen or over certainly realize the difference between right and wrong and the concept of death.
Over the years however (mostly due to whining liberals), juvenile law has been extended to all persons 18 and under which IMHO, is a mistake. 13 year old people robbing liquor stores or beating up passengers on a bus definitely know the difference between right and wrong and letting them off the hook because of their age is certainly a crime in itself in my book. Don’t get me started on expunging juvenile records either. Harumph, harumph!!
I may as well rant about “hate crimes” while I’m at it. Talk about stupid legislation. Most crimes are committed out of hate in some form or another. If I were to go out and kill or assault someone, does it matter what race a person is? Does their gender matter, or their religion, or their sexual preference? Hell no!! They’re still dead or injured or maimed due to my violent behavior.
Creating another victim class based on race, religion, sexual preference or whatever is actually a discriminatory practice IMHO and may be found unconstitutional if such laws were ever brought before the SCOTUS.
Someone more learned and / or scholarly than I may expound that my reasoning is flawed but that’s the way I see it. My two cents as they say.

These are not children raised by single parents, they are raised by racist parents, racist teachers, racist preachers, racist neighbors, who probably cheer every time a black gets away with a crime and bow at the altar of shady al and extortionist jackson, who are nothing more than thieves and violence enablers. Underachievers of all minority groups can usually make a living with these types organizations and aid to the destruction of any type of racial harmony which would put them out of business. Funny that kraka brings up lynchings…in 70 or so years only one black was lynched (for example) in California, but three Chinese men were, a few Indians, a small number of mixed bloods, and a whole slew of white men and Latins.

One thing I have noticed about trolls like our new found friend Kraka (Cracker) is that they ignore a thousand posts and zero in on one or two.
Maybe they think we should have no input or opinions when more than one race is involved, They choose to ignore how we point out that all crime should be targeted for justice regardless of the race or creed involved.
The double standard that they claim to hate, and yet they practice it with unswerving rabid stupidity.
Every regular poster on this site denounces racism, yet the trolls wallow in it and call us racists simply for having the nerve to keep up on events that happen every day.
If SG had posted about nine whites attacking a black girl we would be screaming for justice and the trolls would agree, but we are never allowed to ask for justice when the tables are turned.

I’m almost numb to the double standard on hate crimes. Crap like this happens everyday in NC.
Did any of you see the story of the UNC student recenly murdered? For no other reason than she was white. One of these animals has been involed in the murder of two promising students since January. One from Duke the other from UNC.Both shot in the head….several times. The other fell through the cracks of the justice system…THREE TIMES!!! Niether one of these degenerates will get the death penalty either, because the murder happened near that great bastion of liberalism UNC and the jury pool will most likely be sympathetic libs. Orange County jury’s haven’t issued a death penalty in years. Can you tell I’m p*ssed?
