WP To Expose Top Secret US Contractors

From Foreign Policy:

State Department warns employees about new website highlighting Top Secret facilities

Posted By Josh Rogin Friday, July 16, 2010

The State Department is bracing for a potentially explosive new feature on the Washington Post website that would publish the names and locations of agencies and firms conducting Top Secret work on behalf of the U.S. government, according to the copy of an email obtained by The Cable.

The Diplomatic Security Bureau at State sent out a notice Thursday to all department employees warning them to protect classified information and reject inquiries from the press when the new web feature goes live

According to the notice, the Post used only open-source information to compile its site. However, if some of that open-source information turns out to have been classified, its publication by the Post doesn’t change that classification, the State Department emphasized…

State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley confirmed the authenticity of the e-mail and said it went out to all State Department employees in the Washington, DC area, 14,574 people.

The Washington Post declined requests for comment.

Here’s the full notice:

Office of Origin:    DS/EX

Announcement Number:    2010_07_059

Date of Announcement:    July 15, 2010

Notification of Major Media Outlet Story On Monday July 19, the Washington Post plans to publish a website listing all agencies and contractors believed to conduct Top Secret work on behalf of the U.S. Government.  The website provides a graphic representation pinpointing the location of firms conducting Top Secret work, describing the type of work they perform, and identifying many facilities where such work is done.

Although the Washington Post acquired the information from open sources, all Department personnel should remain aware of their responsibility to protect classified and other sensitive information, such as the Department’s relationships with contract firms, other U.S. Government agencies, and foreign governments.  Employees are reminded that they must neither confirm nor deny information contained in this, or any, media publication, and that the publication of this website and supporting articles does not constitute a change to the level of classification of any information duly classified in accordance with Executive Order 13526.

In the unlikely event you are contacted for comment, please forward any request for information to the Bureau of Public Affairs, Press Relations Office at (202) 647-2492.

For the record, the Washington Post owns Foreign Policy magazine.

Here is another memo that Office of the Director of National Intelligence is sending around:

We fully realize that the Washington Post has long sought to destroy this country, and especially its intelligence agencies.

But one has to wonder what the hell is going on in our State Department and Department Of Justice, if this information is allowed to be published.

Has the Obama administration gone completely insane?

“Has this administration gone completely insane?”

    Yes and no.

Yes, from the perspective of a citizen happy to live in the (formerly) greatest nation on earth.

No, from the perspective of an elitist determined to create a one-world government, which their class will rule with, they think, no chance of ever being deposed.

The coming Civil War is not between races, it is between us and them:

This is probably the biggest advertising bonanza the Post has seen in years.

In response, the federal government should ban the Washington Post from sale in its facilities and revoke the credentials of its “reporters”.

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

Yes, the federal government should do that but it won’t. It has identified itself as a ruling class and rules against the will of the people. This is now firmly established.

It is also the federal government that is releasing the information to the WaPo, thereby making them guilty of treason. Once the names come out, THE PEOPLE must hold them accountable.

The hippies on the left never understand why military secrecy is necessary. But it’s the Marxists at the top who are letting this happen or, making it happen. Destruction of our republic and capitalism is their goal. I never wanted to believe it but there is a coups happening in front our very eyes and they KNOW it takes Americans a long time to wake up to conspiracy when they can lie about it so effectively, with the media’s complicity.

In fact, there is probably more going on than we can even find out about right now. As much as LBJ hated communism, and was still simply a misguided American, this current cabal of power in Washington is evil, self-serving and diabolical. Every move is calculated and designed to destroy a system that has existed for over 230 years. They don’t like it, they want power for a select few who know the secret handshake and to hell with everyone else while they take your money and your freedom simultaneously.

I have awoken to their motives. I am now aware of what and who they are and what they want to do.

Still, though, they may think they can count on the US military to cover their behinds….but it’s not going to work like that. One day, as more and more people become aware, these same people will become infuriated. It won’t be pretty. Fighting for a nation’s freedom was ugly the first and second times. The third will be as well, unless they can be unseated without violence in November and then permanently in 2012.

      Rusty, read this:

“America’s Ruling Class — And the Perils of Revolution”

He is saying what you are saying, and what I’ve been saying for a couple of years….but he has data and specific examples to back it up.

It’s a long read, but worth the effort.

It’s about power. Marxism is the vehicle, not the destination. They just want to rule over us, at any price.

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

After reading that, one thought came to mind. Is it possible that the ignorant news agencies and their lackeys intentionally align themselves with the left because they see that as the “up-and-coming” force to reckon with? Much like in pre WWII days, certain portions of the German population supporting the brownshirts simply as a means of survival?

Of course, that comes with its own costs and when it all comes down around them, they are now complicit and guilty of collusion.

I wonder if I’ll be alive in 20 years to hear them say, “Well, we just did what we had to to stay alive. we did what they demanded or they would have eliminated us. So it’s not our fault”.

History does repeat itself and there really isn’t anything new under the sun when it comes to human behavior. It’s all been done before and will be done again. Over and over.

We are in the midst right now of a takeover of our system and unfortunately, like so many nations before, we are too slow to realize it and when it’s in full swing…..like right now….it may very well be too late.

The Fall elections are what a lot of people are waiting for, but that may not be enough. As many have said, we can’t have mamby-pamby republicans afraid to stand up to the left for fear of a bad PR campaign on their part. They have to call a spade a spade and make no apologies for it. When they cry racism, then the republicans have to band together and reiterate the facts, the details and the particulars, over and over. When in such an argument, they will have to DEMAND that the left provide facts. The right has always had to justify its position and then the left, when confronted with reality, turns a deaf ear and starts babbling “talking points”.

Racist activity inside the tea party movement is one.

And that ever-so-popular phrase “studies have shown”. Well, show me the studies and provide your evidence and when you do, the logical thinking minds will tear it apart piece by piece.

This is why the left argues in emotional terms all the time.

This is why the left “demands justice” and “fairness”. Terms that are defined by Websters but in the court of public opinion have a very wide and broad scope. “Fair” to a poor black man who takes his welfare check and smokes and drinks it is having someone give him a big house and a fancy car and “walkin’ around” money.

“Fair” to a middle class, suburban mother is not having to dress her kid in “neutral colors” for fear that some 7 year old gang-member at school will stick a knife in his throat.

And at the very heart of it is the elite ruling class, as described in the article, rocking the boat and agitating the public until they get the hoped-for frenzy of social unrest and rioting and looting and murder. They seem to be a hair’s width away from that and I wonder if they sit around in the oval office and say, “well, it’s working….we’re getting closer” and then clink glasses and light cuban cigars provided by none other than (in)Fidel himself.

Ah, it’s good to be the king.

Or, even in the ruling class.

Funny, I grew up never even entertaining that there could be a “ruling class” other than the people with money had more freedom and were able to do more expensive things. But I was pretty satisfied where I was. I only wanted to do well at whatever I chose to do, use my mind for something interesting and get paid to do it. Hence, “make a living”.

Never wanted power over others. I actually don’t care for the responsibility of it. It comes with enormous responsibility. But then, the ruling elites we have now simply ignore that aspect of it. Make a dictat, who cares where the chips fall? “I got my money…I got the power….let’s hop in the jet and go to Maine. hee hee hee”.

Students of history they aren’t however. And pissing off the very class of people who fund your good times is like teasing a gator with a steak. You might waft it in front of their snout for a time…but when they decide they want that steak, they take it, and half your arm too. It happens that fast. Blink and you miss it. But they retrieve a bloody stump and are suddenly angry for their own stupidity. But they punish the gator for being a gator. So they kill it.

Watch this space…that behavior can’t be very far behind.

      I have a fantasy.

The fantasy is a candidate who says:

      – The Constitution has worked for 230 years. Every action I take will be guided by it.
      – I don’t believe in giving away other people’s money.
      – No lobbiest will ever be welcome in my office or my table. Ever. Period.
      – I not only won’t use this office for personal gain, I will reveal everyone who does. I will undoubtedly be the most disliked person in Congress. I will probably be the most investigated congress person of all time. But you can be assured that I will never violate my oath of office.
      – I will represent every person in my district, and guided by the principles in the Constitution. Everybody in my district will have an advocate in me.
      – Every minute of every day, I will be working to reduce the size and power of government. I believe in the people, not goverment. Many of you will disagree with me, but you will always receive an explanation for what I did if you ask.
      – Every dime that I spend on public business will be published within a week.
      – If you want earmarks for this district, vote for somebody else. I can’t say that I won’t sometimes vote for a bill with earmarks in it, because that may be impossible. But I will never ask for an earmark. The government that I want is not a government that curries favor with your money. If that means less pork for my district, well, you knew about it when you elected me.

Pro – GREAT ARTICLE, I read it last night.
Rush is talking about it now. I forwarded it onto everyone I know that could understand it.

It contains the best explanation of what is happening and has happened to our country I have EVER read.

I now better understand why there is no discernible difference between dems and republicans once they get to office.

    • proreason says:

yes. That article is going to become the manifesto for taking back this country. It’s a long, tough read, but everyone should read it.

The article doesn’t address the matter directly, but it explains why another civil war is brewing and why it won’t be at all about race, slavery, or any of the conventional causes.

We simply will not be ruled by people who know nothing and insist on controlling every detail of our lives. Hopefully, the war will be peaceful, but if not, so be it.

Excellent concept ProR, couple that with the idea I posted under Obamas fly dog on seperate plane and we can scare the living daylights out of the agenda-crats who are running for office.
