WP Whitewashes ‘Czar’ Van Jones

From the never too tired to defend America-haters Washington Post:

The Words Behind the Controversy

Monday, September 7, 2009

THE STATEMENT: Van Jones was listed as a signatory on a petition released by 911Truth.org on Oct. 26, 2004. It called "for immediate public attention to unanswered questions that suggest that people within the current administration may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war," an investigation by then-New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer and congressional hearings into failings prior to the attacks.

THE WALK-BACK: "In recent days some in the news media have reported on past statements I made before I joined the administration — some of which were made years ago. If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize. As for the petition that was circulated today, I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever," Jones said in a Sept. 3 statement issued by the White House Council on Environmental Quality after the petition was unearthed by blogger Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit.

STATEMENT: After a Feb. 11, 2009, a speech in Berkeley, Calif., Jones was asked by an audience member how Republicans were able to achieve greater legislative success with a smaller congressional majority than Democrats now have.

"The answer to that is: They’re a–holes," Jones said to laughter in remarks posted on YouTube on Sept. 1 by supporters of Glenn Beck. "That’s a technical political science term. And Barack Obama’s not an a–hole. So, now, I will say this, I can be an a–hole. And some of us who are not Barack Hussein Obama are gonna have to start getting a little bit uppity."

THE WALK-BACK: The comments were "clearly inappropriate," Jones said in a statement. "I apologize for the offensive words I chose to use during that speech. They do not reflect the views of this administration, which has made every effort to work in a bipartisan fashion, and they do not reflect the experience I have had since I joined the administration."

Hey, never mind that Mr. Van Jones is an avowed communist, an obvious racist, a cop-hater – and an all-around buffoon.

The Washington Post only notes two of his more innocuous failings. (Which also just happen to be the only two things Mr. Jones has ‘apologized’ for.)

Why is that?

Perhaps they sought to placate their benighted readership, many of whose comments indicate that our country is in a very sad state indeed.

    “WP Whitewashes ‘Czar’ Van Jones”

    God ….I love it!!

  2. RightWinger says:

Well his first “apology” was just the standard lib playbook response….

“If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize.”

In other words if you weren’t offended, then no apology necessary. No apologizing for the action taken, only to some people who were offended. He is only sorry he was ratted out.

Then his response with his next apology is beyond laughable.

“They do not reflect the views of this administration, which has made every effort to work in a bipartisan fashion,

Uh yeah okay, bipartisan fashion, right! If you consider working with Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins and Arlen Spectacle (before he traded sides) as biparitsan, then maybe. LOL

“If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize”

Translation for this common form of “apology”: I meant what I said because what I said was correct, but since I’m being forced to apologize, if a nitwit like you took offense, then I’m sorry you are such a sensitive nitwit.

  4. Enthalpy says:

Any apology from Jones would be meaningless. For Leftists and Muslims, the truth has little value unless it serves their purposes. He believes in AGW. That there is no global warming of any kind is lost to him and his bunch. He can believe whatever he wishes about 9/11, but he said, “If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize.” He offered an apology for offending, not for his beliefs about the attack.

Since the czars were not vetted by our irresponsible and traitorous press, perhaps the fire storm of public opinion will bring about the demise of a number of the other nuts Obama has chosen. Well, we can hope.

The WH threw Van Jones under the bus and they just won’t admit it. LOL The “whitewash” is the story that they are giving the MSM. Add him to the list, along with grandma, Rush and all the rest. :-) “Under My Bus” Video: http://tinyurl.com/clqry4

Great video! ROFL! I’ve got to pass that one on.

By the way, I’d bet VJ would be P.O.ed about the word “whitewash”.

  6. VMAN says:

You all took my thunder. “If I?” is classic for “I don’t believe I did anything” and “I’m sorry” is code for “I’m sorry I got caught”. But enough of this tool what do we do to get rid of the rest?

  7. Chuckk says:

Our affirmative action president surrounds himself with affirmative action advisors. Big surprise.

  8. ptat says:

Van is surely thinking “Ol’ Whitey is keeping me down”! Obama is such a poor judge of character. He just keeps hanging out with lowlifes.

  9. MinnesotaRush says:

Probably a future candidate for the Nobel Prizes. Just sayin’, ya’ know.

  10. Tater Salad says:

Van Jones is now in the bathroom trying to remove the bus tire tread marks on his head from being thrown under yet another bus by the Obama nation machine. Typical! Commrade Obama and his thugs will not stop here!
