This may get ugly and wet!
Btw…..Fox News did show some video from the Tampa roust-about!

  2. sheehanjihad says:

I hate to say it, but the time has come to protect our right to freedom of assembly and freedom of speech. I wont do anything to posture what everyone knows has to be done…but we fought for these freedoms for over two hundred years. Now, we can fight to preserve them. OR, sit back and tsk tsk about it, and be led like sheep into that colorless emotionless existence that is in store for those of you who do nothing. It’s time. Sorry if that offends more peaceful people.

  3. rocketman says:

I agree SJ. I’m locked and loaded!

  4. Melly says:

Even if you are the most passive, laid back, introverted, adverse to getting involved person in the world – you can at least click on the Tampa Town Hall story on Yahoo and “Buzz” it up. You need to have a Yahoo account, which I’m sure most people do.

I’m going now to Yahoo and clicking on “Buzz Up” in order for the story to be pulled up in the headlines.

You have to search for the Yahoo News articles related to the Town Halls.

On the brighter side – The Castor Town Hall meeting is the second most emailed story on CNN’s website though: http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/08/07/health.care.scuffles/index.html?section=cnn_latest

  5. Trogdor says:

Sure, Americans like baseball, hot dogs and apple pie. DC Elites like power to enslave the sheeple. Jihadists like death.

  6. BannedbytheTaliban says:

And where it is being reported there is little mention of the Unions or the cause of the disturbances. It is being blamed on those evil right-wing extremists and their corporate sponors.

    • Liberals Demise says:

I get the feeling that our freedoms have been given the slip by the Fourth Estate watchdogs and aren’t even mentionable in a side bite Bye-Bye!

We will save ourselves for our future generations w/o the help of Tass and Pravda USA!

    • BannedbytheTaliban says:

      roger that LD

  7. curvyred says:

    Not surprising at all

  8. Celina says:

There. No don’t you feel all warm and gooey and “unite”-ey inside?

  9. Gila Monster says:

    Fox News has a report up on TCO’s thugocracy in action;

Town hall meetings called to discuss proposed health care legislation turned violent Thursday, with a meeting in Tampa, Fla., descending into shouting and one in St. Louis ending in arrests.

Close to 1,500 people came to the Tampa suburb of Ybor City to speak with Democratic State Rep. Betty Reed and U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, an event that exploded into a near riot.

According to local media reports, the larger-than-expected crowd gathered outside the Hillsborough County Children’s Board building, where several hundred people, most of whom opposed a government health care plan, began to loudly chant and scuffle with organizers posted at doorways after the auditorium filled to capacity.

However, the union thugs are not identified as such. Instead, we get some flowery reference about “organizers”.

Health care opponents said liberal organizers had tried to allow early admission to those who were seen as favorable to legislation making its way through Congress. Reed denied the accusations, saying those brought in were organizers helping to set up the town hall.

Yes indeed, we’ll just ignore the fact that all those “organizers” are wearing SEIU shirts.
Move along now, nothing to see here…..

  10. proreason says:

Union thugs beating up granpa’s in combination with the White House implementing a website to monitor free speech is the most important news since 9/11.

It’s bigger than Iraq, bigger than the election of the Moron, and bigger than the financial crisis the Democrats created.

    • Melly says:

So freaking true. And the libs were irate over Bush’s Patriot Act and the cases of privacy infringement that NEVER occurred.

  11. MinnesotaRush says:

The real news here in America about our violations of free speech is sitting right next to the news from Honduras! The Iranian citizens are empathizing with us now.

  12. texaspsue says:

I was afraid that it would come to this. Now, the Union thugs are resorting to violence to discredit the Tea Party protesters agenda. It’s all for the media. How “Wag the Dog” of them.

This IS going to backfire on the Democrats.

  13. Reasonsjester says:

Health care issue? What health care issue?

  14. jobeth says:

Now that the thugs have come out and it hasn’t intimidated anyone…we just keep coming these cowards here in Florida are not holding town halls. Too many older people here? Ummm?

    [August 07, 2009]

Orlando area members of Congress shun town halls on health care: Only 2 of 10 Central Florida members of Congress scheduled town hall meetings

Aug 07, 2009 (The Orlando Sentinel – McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) — Across the country, protesters angry about health-care reform are disrupting town-hall meetings conducted by members of Congress — but in Central Florida, most won’t get the chance.

    • proreason says:

Yeh, but look at the lead of the article. 100% propaganda…

“As they head home to their congressional districts for the August recess, lawmakers who support health care reform are bracing for protests and demonstrations that threaten to turn violent

In North Carolina, a congressman who backs overhauling health care had his life threatened by a caller upset that he was not holding a public forum on the proposal.”

Millions of psychopath grannies are arming themselves right now.

    • Gila Monster says:

Notice that in the photo accompanying the AP article, the health care “supporter” is wearing a shirt that states “Proud to be Union” and he’s holding a very professionally made sign. And they accuse us of “astroturfing”, ….. what a laugher.

  15. Papa Ray says:

After reading these articles and stories, and some of the comments there, it is apparent that many others are concerned as well. There have been things said about how all this could happen and why. About what he/she should have done or what we can do in the future when confronted with similar circumstances. But I’m afraid that most people when confronted will be caught unawares and unprepared.

When Obama was elected many of us knew what the future would bring. We had done our home work on Obama and his friends and what history we could determine about him and the environment he was raised in. We knew that he was first, a crooked politician, second, a closet communist and third, a hater of whites.

    A true Chicago Thug.

I’ve lived my life under many rules, the main one was to treat others as I would like to be treated. Another is that prior planning prevents piss poor performance. Now everyone should understand that the democrats don’t believe in treating others well, except for a select few, but they do believe in planning. They have been planning this, including selecting Obama for many years. All well hidden, financed and carried out.

And the execution of their plan has just begun.

This Republic was not only hoodwinked, but is now being raped and the American people are the only ones that can stop it. The first step in doing this is unfolding now. Getting the average American’s attention. This step will most likely take several more months. It will depend on how arrogant and how unthinking the democrats and Obama’s handlers become. They have made some serious errors but will need to make many more before millions of Americans will come to the same conclusions that many of us already have.

The next step hopefully will be that our votes can correct the situation. But be warned, we have already seen how the democrats and their groups like Acorn and others can manipulate elections. It will be even worse in the coming elections because they have strengthened their positions and power.

If we fail to expunge them because of tainted elections and thuggery the next step will be horrible. But it is what the 2nd amendment was put in place for. It is the fail-safe amendment. When all else fails our founders knew that an armed populace would be our last resort to restore freedom and preserve our Republic.

Everyone needs to consider this and to make up their own minds about how they feel about this Republic and for which it stands.
