Every time I end up in an argument with a liberal or leftist, I get called “racist” “bigot” “homophobe” “neocon”….but when the tater stick comes out, all they can manage is “sir” “please” and “dont”. There comes a time when words fail me…(yeah, me!) and the rapid and repeated application of my special hardwood barber clippers seems to cause the recipient to promise to include God in the Pledge of Allegiance.. Works for me! The bike? You dont want to know. LOL! Nice seein ya wire!

An ‘update’ from the Associated Press:

Negotiator: Zelaya’s side accepts Honduran plan

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica – A negotiator for ousted President Manuel Zelaya says his side has accepted in principle the points proposed by a mediator to end the Honduras coup crisis.

But negotiator Enrique Flores says the interim government of Roberto Micheletti has rejected the central point of allowing Zelaya to be reinstated, leaving the talks stalemated.

Flores says “in principle we accept all the points, to later discuss them in detail.”

But he says the Honduras’ de facto leaders have shown no willingness to accept Zelaya’s return, adding that if there is no progress “we will declare the talks a failure.”

The mediator of Saturday’s talks proposed that Zelaya be allowed to return to Honduras to serve out the rest of his term and lead a national unity government.

Honduras interim govt rejects Zelaya reinstatement

TEGUCIGALPA, July 18 (Reuters) – Honduras’ interim government rejected mediator Costa Rica’s proposal to allow ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya to return to serve out the rest of his term, a spokesman for the presidential palace said on Saturday.

“They want the reinstatement of President Zelaya without any form of negotiation,” Mario Saldana, a spokesman for the caretaker government, told Reuters. Asked if the government accepted the proposal, he said, “No.”

Many Hondurans viewed the proposed referendum as an attempt by Zelaya to push for a socialist-leaning government similar to the one his ally Hugo Chavez has established in Venezuela.

Many Hondurans doesn’t tell the whole story, because I thought the number of Hondurans that viewed this as an illegal push towards socialism was around 80%. The press has got me so cynical at this point I am not sure I can believe anything they report.
