By Daniel Bates and Neil Blincow | 19 August 2014

The policeman who shot dead a black teenager in St Louis has revealed he is under 24-hour guard and ‘can’t go out’ at this ‘stressful time’ in his first comments since the killing. Darren Wilson text messaged a close friend to say that he can’t leave protective custody because he would be immediately recognized – making him and his young child a target.

In his messages Wilson, 28, also thanked for the support of his friends which he said was ‘really keeping me going’.

Only 3 Of 78 Arrested Protesters Are Ferguson Residents

From Breitbart:

Report: Only 3 of 78 Arrested Protesters Were Ferguson Residents

August 19, 2014

Fox News correspondent Steve Harrigan reported that only three of the 78 protesters arrested last night during last night’s clash between the police and protesters in Ferguson were actually from the city on Tuesday’s “The O’Reilly Factor.”

He stated that there were, “78 arrests, just three of them here from the town of Ferguson.” Harrigan added that there were “a lot from Missouri, but some came from as far away as California and New York.”  And that there are “some concerns from police that rioters are using the demonstrations as a cover, a cover to launch some attacks against police."

Everyone wants to get in on the glorious new ‘Civil Rights Movement.’

Ferguson Looter: ‘I’m Proud Of Us, We Deserve This’

From an approving Washington Post:

Ferguson protesters: The peaceful, the elders, the looters, and the ‘militants’

By Emily Wax-Thibodeaux [sic] and DeNeen L. Brown | August 18, 2014

FERGUSON, Mo. — … [T]he demonstrators are as diverse as their grievances — and in their methods of addressing them. Some of the men are from the area — Ferguson or surrounding towns also defined in part by the gulf separating the mostly white law enforcement agencies from a mistrusting African American public. Many others — it is hard to quantify the percentage — have arrived by bus and by car from Chicago, Detroit, Brooklyn and elsewhere.

It’s probably only ‘hard to quantify the percentage’ because the Post doesn’t want us to know that the vast majority are from out of town.

Report: Darren Wilson Suffered Fractured Eyeball Socket

From Jim Hoft at the Gateway Pundit:

BREAKING REPORT: Officer Darren Wilson Suffered “Orbital Blowout Fracture to Eye Socket” During Mike Brown Attack

By Jim Hoft on Tuesday, August 19, 2014

The Gateway Pundit can now confirm from two local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. Officer Wilson clearly feared for his life during the incident that led to the shooting death of Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store…

A blowout fracture is a fracture of one or more of the bones surrounding the eye and is commonly referred to as an orbital floor fracture.

We saw this yesterday but we thought it might get knocked down by the local authorities.

AP: Journalist Decapitated By ISIS Was Aware Of Risks

From the Associated Press:

American journalist killed in Syria aware of risks

By RIK STEVENS | August 19, 2014

ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Journalist James Foley had worked in a number of conflict zones in the Middle East, but the danger didn’t stop him from doing the job he loved.

Captured and held for six weeks while covering the uprising in Libya, he knew the risks when he went to Syria two years ago to cover the escalating violence there…

Diane Foley, asked in January 2013 if her son had reservations about going to Syria, said softly: "Not enough." …

So, apparently, at least according to the AP, Mr. Foley knew what he was getting into. So it’s no big deal that he has been decapitated by the ISIS maniacs.

NY State Sues Farm For Not Holding Same Sex Marriages

From Albany’s Times Union:

HRC fines upstate farm for same sex marriage refusal

By Rick Karlin | August 14, 2014

The decision from the state Human Rights Commission, technically known as Division of Human Rights was just mailed out and the parties are just now receiving it: Rensselaer County’s Liberty Ridge Farm has been fined a total of $13,000, including $1,500 to each of the two women they turned down when they said “no” to hosting a same sex marriage for religious reasons.

Is that all? That’s just a slap on the wrist. They should have their farm taken away from them.

The NYCLU which helped represent the couple, hailed the decision.

Because the ACLU is so concerned about protecting the liberties of Americans. Except any civil liberties, such as the freedom of religion, that they don’t like.

Simms, Dungy Won’t Say Redskins, Manziel Gives Finger

From the Daily Caller:

Johnny Football Gave the Redskins The Middle Finger

By Al Weaver | August 18, 2014

… A struggling Manziel took his frustration out on the Washington Redskins’ bench, flipping them the bird following a 2nd down incompletion with 2:28 left in the third quarter.

Manziel, the former Heisman winner at Texas A&M and ultimate bro, completed only 7 of 16 passes for just 65 yards and a touchdown. He was also sacked three times, and can (probably) expect his first fine as an NFLer this week…

Hopefully, this had nothing to do with Mr. Manziel’s poor performance on the field. And everything to do with his contempt for their refusal to abandon their racist team name.

Speaking of which, we have this news from a cheering Associated Press:

Two Major NFL Announcers Say They Won’t Use Term ‘Redskins’ on the Air

DNC, Jackson, Sharpton Use Ferguson For Black Turnout

From Breitbart:

Missouri GOP: Michael Brown Voting Registration Booths ‘Disgusting’

By Charlie Spiering | August 18, 2014

Republicans are criticizing efforts by liberal organizers to set up voter registration booths at the site where Missouri teenager Michael Brown was shot and killed by a local police officer.

How partisan of them!

Reports of the voter registration tables have been reported via liberal activists on social media. “In front of the makeshift memorial where Mike Brown was killed, they’ve set up a voter registration table,” tweeted Jessica Lee, a Human rights attorney at the Center For Constitutional Rights wrote on Twitter. Another activist urged Ferguson residents to register at both the QT convenience store protestor location and the crime scene memorial…

And then there is this from the St.

Reuters: Police Come Under ‘Heavy Gunfire’ In Ferguson

From Reuters:

U.S. police come under gunfire, arrest 31 in Missouri racial unrest

By Scott Malone and Ellen Wulfhorst | August 19, 2014

FERGUSON Mo. (Reuters) – U.S. police said early on Tuesday they came under heavy gunfire and arrested 31 people during another night of racially charged protests in Ferguson, Missouri, sparked by the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a white policeman 10 days ago…

What a stunning headline and lead. We had no idea the police were ever in any danger in Ferguson. In fact, we had somehow gotten the opposite impression. We thought they were excessively over-armed and over protected, which was itself a terrible provocation to ‘the community.’

Which, of course, makes it all the cops own fault, after all.

Obama Sends Holder To MO, Opposes ‘Militarized’ Police

From Yahoo News:

Obama will send Holder to Ferguson, says police should not be militarized

By Olivier Knox | August 18, 2014

President Obama announced Monday that he will send Attorney General Eric Holder to Ferguson, Missouri, to take stock of the tense situation there and predicted that Congress will re-evaluate the merits of federal programs that arm local police with military gear.

What a relief it is to hear that Holder is going to Ferguson! We haven’t felt this reassured since Ike announced: ‘I will go to Korea.’

Still, the question arises: when Mr. Holder gets to Ferguson, which side of the barricades will he be on? We’re kidding, of course. If you know anything about Holder’s history, you already know which side he is on in his heart of hearts.

Obama Blames Slavery For The Looting In Ferguson, MO

From Mediaite:

Obama on Ferguson: ‘I Have to Be Careful About Not Pre-Judging Events’

By Tina Nguyen | August 18, 2014

While Barack Obama may have his own personal feelings towards the death of Michael Brown and the deterioration of order in Ferguson, Mo., he took pains during his press conference today to stress that he is, first and foremost, the President of the United States, and that the investigation in Brown’s death is still in progress.

In other words, Obama refused to condemn the rioting and the looting because he is the President of all of us. Including rioters and looters. And since he must love all of his children equally, he cannot condemn their behavior.

Besides, they all have good excuses. They are disadvantaged.

Purported Witness Backs Pro-Brown Version Of Shooting

From the Hollywood entertainment website, The Wrap:

Michael Brown Shooting Witness Releases Video: ‘I Knew This Was Not Right’

By Tim Molloy | August 18, 2014

A woman who says she witnessed the shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown has released video to CNN that shows Brown lying in the street as officers stand by…

Piaget Crenshaw said she has waited until now to release the video because she feared for her safety and was waiting for police to release Wilson’s name, which they did Friday.

Ms. Crenshaw feared for her safety because she thought the police would go after her if she came forward? It’s more likely she would have been cheered.

She also said police could have released her video Friday — when they also released surveillance footage that they said showed Brown stealing cigarillos from a convenience store before the shooting.

From Breitbart:

By Warner Todd Huston | August 17, 2014

There are still a lot of stories swirling around the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, last week, and to add to the din is a Facebook posting purportedly by officer "Darren Wilson" that seems to corroborate some previously reported information. However, others claim the posting is a hoax…

my friends and family have been afraid to put out what really happened due to the severe threats.but here is the truth of what happened. as much as i can tell you at this point.

From Alabama’s Huntsville Times:

Reporter says more than a dozen witnesses to Brown shooting back up police officer’s version of events

By Debbie M. Lord | August 18, 2014

A St. Louis Post Dispatch reporter says that Ferguson, Missouri, police confirm that more than a dozen witnesses to the shooting of teenager Michael Brown have backed up the account of the incident offered by the officer who killed the teenager.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Christine Byers tweeted Monday that  police told her that an account of the shooting by a woman named "Josie" who called into a syndicated radio program last Friday matches the account given by Darren Wilson, the officer who shot Brown.

Christine Byers [tweeted: "Police sources tell me more than a dozen witnesses have corroborated cop’s version of events in shooting"

"Josie" claimed to be a friend of Wilson’s and said that Wilson was protecting himself as Brown "bum-rushed" him, punching him and trying to get his weapon.
